Artistic Director Nancy Turano recently returned from National YoungArts Week in Miami, where she was one of three national panelists selecting YoungArts finalists in dance. Alongside fellow panelists Victor Quijada and Nasha Thomas, Turano adjudicated finalists during an intensive week of workshops and performances with internationally renowned master artists. The National YoungArts Foundation's mission is to identify and nurture the most accomplished young artists in dance as well as the visual, literary, design and performing arts, and assist them at critical junctures in their educational and professional development. YoungArts finalists are the exclusive nominees for 2016 U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts, the country's highest honor for young artists.
