Adam Barruch's "Haze"; Photo by Denis Vu With the world premiere of five dances by four different choreographers: Adam Barruch, Elisa Clark, Belinda McGuire and Artistic Director Nancy Turano, NJDTE's Spring Season has come to a wonderful close. Audience members, who came out to the Wilkins Theater, were excited to see what the talented dancers of NJDTE created this season.
Dancers performed Sidra Bell's new work "Legions" at the Joyce Theatre in New York City, and it was selected as one of the 2012 finalists in front of a panel of distinguished judges. In addition, two NJDTE dancers were honored with scholarships for their excellence. Jordaan Scott received a full scholarship to The Ailey School’s summer intensive program, and Jonathan Maldonado received a full scholarship to Complexions Contemporary Ballet’s summer intensive program.
