After ten years dancing with Ballet Hispanico, Vilaro launched Luna Negra Dance Theater in 1999. With Luna Negra Dance Theater, Vilaro engages cutting-edge Latino choreographers. With his fusion of classical ballet and Latin dance, he is making waves in the Chicago dance scene and with the Latino diaspora.
